  21. Uphill turn escape from opponents hold ( self defense version - with neck crank ), finish with kobushi ate ( fist ) to base of the head
  22. Compound lock - starts with O-te-gaeshi ( major hand reversal ) goes to Ude-garami ( arm entanglement ) using the head as a lever, into Atama-ude-gatame ( head armlock )
  23. Gun defense, pointed at the face - hasami ate ( scissors strike ), followed by Tsuri-geri ( lift kick )
  24. Gun defense, pointed at stomach - Ko-te-gaeshi ( minor hand reversal ) to Te-gatana-ate (knife hand strike)
  25. Gun defense, pointed in the back - Ko-te-gaeshi ( minor hand reversal ), disarm, and strike with the gun to the head.
