About me:

My life in a nutshell:

I was born January 19th 1955 at Lecce, Italy. I spent there the first 18 years of my life, then, after deciding that I had better  to study Physics than playing Cello, I moved to Napoli to attend undergraduate physics studies.

After graduation in Physics (July, 1978), in 1980 I moved to Trieste where, in 1985, I got a D.Ph. degree in Physics (Condensed Matter) from SISSA (International School for Advanced Studies).

In the meanwhile I served in the army (1981) and I got married with Fulvia (1984).

Between 1986 and 1990, I was in Trieste (working at SISSA) and abroad (one year in Paris - Jussieu, Laboratoire de Physique Theorique des Liquides,  in the Jean-Perre Hansen's group - and one year in Zurich - IBM Research Laboratory).

From December 1990 to 2002, I have been in the permanent research staff (as Ricercatore) of the Department of Theoretical Physics, University of Trieste.  Since 2002, I am associate professor. Presently I  introduce physics undergraduates to the secrets of numerical computing and I teach  Critical Phenomena to physics graduate students at the University of Trieste.

I have two sons: Michele (born in 1988) and Lucio (1992).

My professional and personal interests include: Liquid State Theory, Computational Physics, Internet & Programming, Teaching, Classic Music, History, Linguistic, Astronomy, Gastronomy, Mathematics, Art, Swimming.
